LIPOSUCTION

Thigh liposuction is a plastic surgery procedure to permanently remove fat accumulation from the thighs to sculpt the figure. This can be excess fat on the saddlebags, inner thighs, or knees. Excess fat is suctioned out with cannulas inserted under the skin. Thigh liposuction offers a lasting result with almost invisible scars.

AN OVERVIEW ABOUT

What are the steps of thigh liposuction?

Before the procedure

Prior to the procedure, a medical visit is necessary to meet with the surgeon and determine together the expected results. A pre-operative check-up will also be scheduled to determine the patient’s eligibility for surgery and to avoid any risk of complications.

The procedure

Inner outer thighs liposuction removes fat cells using fine cannulas connected to a gentle suction device. The cannulas are inserted through very fine incisions (3 to 4 mm). The scars from liposuction are very discreet, usually hidden in the natural folds of the skin.

Several areas of the thighs can be treated with liposuction. With Body Expert, several liposuction procedures are possible:

  • Inner thighs liposuction: liposuction of inner thighs consists in sucking out the fat from the inner thighs. This plastic surgery procedure can be combined with an medial thigh lift in cases where the sagging skin is significant.
  • Liposuction outer thighs: the outer thighs are one of the areas most often targeted by liposuction. Liposuction of the thighs and the saddlebags can reshape the figure to make it more harmonious.

Post-operative care

The post-operative aftermath of thigh liposuction is simple and very well taken care of. The patient is advised to wear a compression panty to optimize the results. The length of time the panty is worn depends on the amount of fat removed and the quality of the patient’s skin.
